Hi,
Up until now, I have only ever used s/s for general rough shooting with the
occasional weekend of clays, maybe a couple of times a year.
My daughter has recently got the clay shooting bug, so I've just been out to
get an upgrade for our 30yr old trap (left outside all year, and still going
strong!!), and also treated myself to a second hand o/u skeet gun.
The way I figured it was that with our setup here, the vast majority of our
shots are taken between 15 and 25 yds, so to get my eye in, the skeet gun
would be a good starting point. Am I right in my choice or not?
Thanks for any advice/opinion.

I have a friend who has shot Sporting with his skeet gun for pretty much 25
years. He can knock anything at the sky that any of the rest of us can and
on a good day everything we cant.

Long Distance / Short Distance, it doesnt make a difference.. He can make
you sick sometimes.....

All down to practice, skill and knowing your gun...

If it works for you stick with it.

I know someone who shoots Skeet at everything in his auto. But then he
never cleans it, and looking at his choke I reckon the fouling has taken
it down to at least half, maybe tighter :)
