Its probably been covered before, but what is the actual diffference between
cartridges costing say £90/1000 and those costing £130/1000+.

Everyone's opinion varies. I'd say go to a ground with a wide variety
available to buy and try a selection on similar targets. I did that and
changed from RC4 (£132ish /1000) down to Hull Pro One (£122/1000) and feel
that my scores have improved. On the other hand I feel I don't get as
many with Blue Diamonds (£110?) or RC1 (£115?).

Having said that, I suspect that quality of choke is far more important.
Moving from Browning-comes-with-the-gun internal chokes to Briley X2
longer chokes, I'm convinced has given me 5% on my scores.

It's the combination of your cartridge, your chokes, and your belief in
both of them that matters most.

ps. Remember also that clays in competitions are at least £240/1000 these
days, so savings on cartridges don't affect the cost that much in
percentage terms.
