I want to buy an air gun (pistol) for target shooting in my back yard. My
Home Owners Association will allow air guns if they are reasonably quiet.
Please let me know which of the many target appropriate air guns are among
the quietest. Any make, price range under $500 USD, no PCP, all other types
would be OK. I do not know where else to get this information. Thanks in
advance.

this is a UK group for clay target shooters using shotguns (although some
people do shoot other things). While somebody might be able to help, the
NRA would probably be a better place to look for information on air
pistols. http://www.nra.org/home.aspx A quick search has thrown up quite a
few articles. I'm assuming you are based in the United States from the
currency you specify. Hope you find what you're looking for.
