A friend who is getting on in years, maybe a little short on eye sight but
not physically lacking has had is scores slowly crumble.

He actually was a remi 1100 shooter of old till the gun fell apart, then
picked up a 28" over/under and doesn't appear to get anywhere.

And no, its not me..

Anyhow, someone lent him a 16g gun the other week and a box of cartridges,
he doubled his score on the first outing (although he didn't go that well
this week)

Anyone else shot one? I got him a box of 250 cartridges @ 48quid so its not
the cheapest. The shells aren't that much noticeable in size to the 12g
(like if you compared the 20g)

I haven't had a chance to shoot it.. at 50quid for 250, I'm sure I want to.

I bought an Williams and Powell S/S N/E 16g for game shooting because my
O/U 12g weighed about 40lbs towards the end of a walk-and-stand day.
Weighs 5.25lbs and is a joy to use. I'd have gone for a 20g but doubted
my ability to kill anything with it! Got my shells at £34 for fibre wads
to fit my 2.5in chambers but that was a couple of years ago. Bismuth is
the only non-tox load available in that size (steel and matrix available
in 2,75 inch)

None of which will interest you much if you only shoot clays, but the
group has been a bit quiet of late so I thought I'd have my 2 penn'orth!
I like the look of the Lincoln 16g but have not had the chance to try one.
